Every year on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, the historic center of Fermo is filled with lights and colors, transforming the city into a fairytale place for young and old.
Fermo Magica dresses the city with a new light in each edition, with installations and attractions on the theme of the most famous fairy tales and literary-inspired movie stories.
Every Christmas is a new dive into an enchanted world: from Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling to Dicken’s novel A Christmas Carol up to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by R. Dahl based on Willy Wonka that turned the city into “Fermo Magica and the chocolate factory”.
Christmas in Fermo: the events of Fermo Magica
Many attractions are organized during Fermo Magica: the Ferris Wheel, the Ice Rink, the Flying Tree, the Enchanted Garden, the Planetarium, the 10D Cinema, NatalExpress Christmas Train, besides the traditional Exhibition of Nativity Scenes and the House of Santa Claus. And we can’t forget the little wooden houses of the Christmas Markets either.
During the New Year’s Eve’s evening every year a concert of pop music is organized, the Christmas period finishes with the International Congress of Befane with the Befane from CAI that climb down from the City Hall building, an event that attracts visitors from the entire region.
The light moreover is always protagonist through architectural lightings of glimpses and the most amazing monuments of the city that astonish visitors.
Everyone is carried away in a fairytale world, made to measure for children and families, with animations, games, creative laboratories, playful and educational activities, shows and musical and symphonic concerts at the theatre and in the library, reading’s laboratory for children, the tombola game, attractions and animations for children, who spend unique days in a Christmas dream, everything to experience a unique city, enchanted…MAGIC!
