Which car parks are closest to the center?
Fermo has a good number of car parks, most of which are free, located in various parts of the city and easily accessible.
The most central
For a quick visit to the center, you can leave your car at the paid parking in Piazzale Carducci, connected to Piazzale Azzolino by a lift and a stone’s throw from Corso Cavour and Piazza del Popolo.
The most comfortable
The Maxiparking in via Ficcadenti is the most convenient solution for longer stops because it is free and does not have a maximum duration. It is connected by a ramp to the escalator that will lead you to Piazzale Azzolino, in the center which you will reach in 5 minutes on foot.
Close to the Duomo
If your destination is the Cathedral of Fermo or you want to enjoy the panorama of the Girfalco with a unique view of the square and the hills that slope down to the sea, you can reach it by car leaving the car just for a walk in the shade of the centuries-old trees of the Girfalco park.
Close to the Theater
If you want to reach Teatro dell’Aquila, the best solution is to park along Viale Vittorio Veneto or the underlying Viale XX Settembre and with the panoramic lift reach Largo Temistocle Calzecchi Onesti in two steps with its arch overlooking the south side of Piazza del People.
Park along the coast
The coastal towns have plenty of parking spaces near the beach and bathing establishments, all free.
Lido di Fermo, Casabianca and Lido Tre Archi
You can park directly on the seafront or in the adjacent streets, or take advantage of the convenient parking facilities of Lido di Fermo near Viale del Lido or in Via Giovanni da Verrazzano.
Via Alcide de Gasperi is a long link road that connects Casabianca with Lido Tre Archi and has parking near the cycle path.
Marina Palmense
If you love the sea in complete freedom, in Marina Palmense you can also leave your car at the side of the road, adjacent to the pebble beach, or park in the center of the district where, on the occasion of summer events such as markets and shows, a free shuttle service connects it with the many neighboring campsites and with Torre di Palme.
The rest areas in Torre di Palme
The village has two car parks, both very close to the center: one located under the walls in Piazzale Persichetti, the other not far away located near the cemetery. On the busiest days, such as during the summer markets on Tuesdays, you can take advantage of the free shuttle that connects Torre di Palme to Marina Palmense, leaving your car along the coast.
